• c-Abl이란 것은 oncogene중 하나이며, translocation이 가능하다.

• Gleevec은 Novatis가 개발한 백혈병치료제로서 독성이 거의 전무하다. 이것은 Structure-based drug discovery 전략에 의해 Bcr-Abl gene을 targetting하여 개발되었기 때문
• Gleevec의 약효가 없는 case가 있는데, 이는 P315I mutaion of Bcr-Abl gene가 원인이며, 아직까지 이것을 해결한 CML drug는 없다.
